Tuning Editor Toolbar
A “tuning” is a ordered list of strings, each with a distinct pitch, ordered from the lowest to the highest pitch. Also, each “tuning” has an associated instrument type. By default it is “guitar”, but it may be change to any instrument in the following list:
- Bass
- Bass Guitar
- Cello
- Erhu
- Guitar
- Mandolin
- Other
- Shamisen
- Ukulele
- Viola
- Violin
- Save your instrument tuning to the tuning library.
Give your instrument tuning a name that makes it unique within its instrument group. - Display detailed settings for tuning.

- • In-tune condition
- Assign an instrument to your tuning.
Find an instrument type that matches your instrument. Use the generic ‘Other Instrument’ if your instrument is not represented. - Add new string to your tuning.
Add any number of strings to your tuning. The pitch of the first string is by default A2. Thereafter, the pitch of each new string is in 3rds, fourths, or fifths intervals determined according to your “string interval” setting.
